Why this website?

There's a number of reasons for Project::IBIS:

I find a web project a good way to keep friends & family informed about my building an experimental aircraft.
Although I live in Germany, as a member of NVAV, I reckon it makes sense to register and license my aircraft in The Netherlands. Keeping NVAV membership and other aviation enthousiasts informed about my progress is yet another goal of this site.
A website like this one, where content will hopefully be rather dynamic, is a nice project to test yet another CMS (content management system).
